What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, involves tattooing pigments into the dermis to resemble makeup and reduce or eliminate the need for daily makeup application. The most popular forms of permanent makeup are eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. Scalp micropigmentation is also used for individuals suffering from varying types of hair loss and areola tattoos are used for breast reconstruction.
What are your prerequisites for students?
We offer courses for individuals with no experience to those with extensive experience. We do expect that students have a general knowledge, skill and interest of makeup, but we will teach the rest. For students with limited or no experience, we recommend taking the individuals courses one at a time, graduating to different levels as you go. For those with more experience, it would be okay to take the specialized courses with proof of certification in basics courses.
